Coromandel – all agree it’s one of New Zealand’s most fascinating summer destinations. Partying on one of the beaches, especially on New Year’s Eve, is very popular and a rite of passage for many teenagers. But we were keen to spend some days in the Indigo Bush Studios. A beautiful accommodation outside of Coromandel, designed and operated by Robyn Lewis, a lively person who realized her childhood dream on Coromandel: a bush cottage. Living on the same property, Robyn established two cosy bush cottages, inviting to enjoy oneself and the caress of the bush.
Her country house represents a life of artistic creativity – a fusion of clay walls, eastern furniture, ceramics, global treasures, paintings and textiles. Amidst rambling gardens lies a small gallery for visitors and collectors from around the world who delight in the hand made sensuality and natural spirit of her work. This wonderland is completed by Indigo Bush Studios, inspiring apartments for rent…- Robyn Lewis (web pages)
We visited Robyn in her cottage and I was thunderstruck about the cosiness of the cottage, and the frankness and the radiated sympathy of Robyn … We had a great time and I could have chitchatted for ever …
